Liquid limestone and reconstituted limestone blocks are an absolute staple of Western Australian landscaping. They look stunning when first laid, but after a damp Mandurah and Peel Region winter, they act like giant sponges.

The Danger of High-Pressure Washing Limestone

When homeowners see black stains, their first instinct is usually to grab a heavy-duty pressure washer. This is a massive mistake.

Limestone is incredibly soft. If you take a high-pressure wand to a limestone block, you will get it clean—but you will also permanently destroy the block. Blasting it with high pressure chips away the creamy face of the stone, creating deep pits, exposing the aggregate, and leaving permanent "tiger stripes" etched across your walls.
